Adventurers and Scientists for Conservation

Adventurers and Scientists for Conservation mobilizes the outdoor community to gather scientific data, driving conservation around the world. ASC provides decision makers with the hard-to-attain environmental data they need to make informed choices.

Identifying projects where our outdoor-competent individuals can have the greatest impact, ASC recruits, trains and manages volunteers on conservation research projects designed in cooperation with partner scientists. Participation in an ASC project inspires a deeper engagement with one's surroundings, and their adventures scientists become informed advocates for the habitats and issues with which they work.

Current projects include a wildlife data collection effort on the American Prairie Reserve, research on glacial thinning above 6,000 meters, and a marine microplastics project that is expanding to freshwater in 2015.
