Allison Grimes is the Democratic contender for Mitch McConnell’s Senate seat, and the Minority Leader would like the public to know just what Ms. Grimes is up to.

McConnell does indeed dispute the science of climate change. During the Polar Vortex, McConnell asked, “Where’s Al Gore now?”
In 2012, he was addressing a Louisville rotary crowd when an audience member asked about his views on global warming, given the record-setting temperatures and forest fires in the West.
“As recently as 30-35 years ago we were worried about the globe getting too cold,” McConnell replied. “I suppose over decades and maybe centuries we’ll figure this out,” he said.
It should be noted that while Grimes believes in climate change, she states on her website that America’s energy should “rely heavily on coal, oil and natural gas.” The website also criticizes President Obama’s energy policy, saying his administration “has taken direct aim at Kentucky’s coal industry, crippling our state’s largest source of domestic energy and threatening thousands of jobs.”
