Diving underwater caverns can be a risky experience but hugely rewarding, as the sights within these unique environments are like nothing else on the planet. The cenotes of the Yucatan peninsula offer a relatively safe option to get a taste for these adventures as one can enter the mouths of the caves with an experienced guide and just view the hallways of these extensive underwater caves. The water is crystal clear and rock formations surreal.
